Very surprising and aromatic nose. Oh! Unlike usual, the brightness can be described as light and bright. On the nose the product is more reminiscent of the finesse and lightness of a brandy. The aroma is predominantly greenish, fresh with a little honey and vanilla and an underlying grassy or forest nuance. Pretty much everything comes together in the mouth. Light bitterness, lots of flavor, wood, nuts, leather. Very persistent. Darker gold, very pronounced nose. On the nose there is a lot of ripe canned pineapple with syrup, a lot of caramel, sugar, vanilla, dates, raisins.. This continues on the palate with a light vegetal note. A little wet on the finish. This shouldn't work but somehow it does. It has complexity, depth and maintains the balance. Maybe less typical of a British Style rum, but really interesting and distinctive.
